WHAT IS A PROGRESSIVE WEB APP?


Progressive Web Apps burst onto the scene after a 2015 Google Chrome Dev Summit speech given by Google developer Alex Russel. In his speech, he introduces Progressive Web Apps as digital experiences that combine the best of the web and native apps. They are useful from the first time a user visits a site with no install required, they improve with each subsequent visit, they load quickly even on a flaky network, and they can send relevant push notifications.
